About Bruce

Bruce Fanjoy lives in Manotick with his partner Donna and their dog Red. They have two adult children.

Bruce has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Dalhousie University) and a Master of Business Administration degree (Saint Mary’s University). He also studied French at Laval University.

Bruce had a successful business career with Comcheq, Ceridian, and Deloitte in which he served as Branch Manager, Product Manager, and Director of Marketing respectively. During this time, Bruce and Donna welcomed their children into the world, while Donna completed medical school, residency, and a fellowship. Life was so busy that Bruce pivoted from his 15-year business career to become a full-time parent and dedicate his energy to his family and community.

In the community, Bruce served in a variety of volunteer roles: in minor hockey, competitive swimming, and Habitat for Humanity. He is an advocate for safe cycling and was a previous board member of Bike Ottawa and his local community association. He currently serves on the boards of Watson’s Mill Manotick Inc. and the Carleton Federal Liberal Association.

From late 2019 to early 2021, Bruce’s vision and leadership was evident in the building of Millview Passive House in Manotick – an all-electric, carbon-neutral, net zero home. Bruce is an advocate for sustainability and he freely shares his knowledge and experience for the benefit of others.
